The Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia has worked with A/Prof Ramesh Balasubramaniam, the program convenor of Doctor of Clinical Dentistry at the School of Dentistry - The University of Western Australia to develop a modern curriculum that includes competency in oral and maxillofacial diseases, oral oncology, salivary gland disorders, orofacial pain, temporomandibular disorders, and dental sleep medicine.
